Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb raise a glass to a few inspiring instructors who helped change their students' lives for the better. A couple of dedicated teachers in San Diego decided to bring CPR to the classroom. But they never could've imagined how that lesson forever changed the lives of a 9-year-old student and his family. Dedra Patterson and Lynn Barnes-Wallace were the two Physical Education Teachers from Green Elementary School who introduced the program to the San Diego School. Though the program was originally designed for older kids, Mrs. Patterson thought it would be wise to introduce it to her 3rd grade students. One student, Dimitri, called upon those exact lessons when he sprang into action after his mother, Tara Standlee, collapsed from a head injury. Massanutten Resort heard about Dimitri's story and wanted to honor Mrs. Patterson with a getaway to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley!
