Rock the Ridge was a new summer event in 2024 and with so many positive comments after last year’s event we have decided to continue with the ever-popular Thunderstruck vibe. Portions of the proceeds benefit Massanutten Technical Center Foundation.
This festival will feature three main stage bands, food, beverages, and more!

We provide resources, financial support, and services to inspire, share success, and nurture transformative skills for the students of Massanutten Technical Center.

There have been multiple reports of people trying to pose as hosts or vendor hosts of festivals held at Massanutten Resort claiming there are additional spaces available. They are then requesting payment for those spaces through PayPal. Massanutten Resort and partners do not request payment for vendor spots in this fashion. Please do not fall for this scam. Rock The Ridge tickets are non-refundable. Rain or shine event. Ticket price does not include food or beverages. MUST PRESENT VALID ID at the gate to consume alcoholic beverages. Please drink responsibly - Pourers may refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES PERMITTED. NO COOLERS, PETS, OR WEAPONS of any kind are permitted. All bags, chairs, strollers will be checked.

Thunderstruck | 8:30 - 10 PM
Thunderstruck gives fans so much more than the sound of AC/DC, they truly capture the high voltage energy and experience. For fans, it's about a sense of familiarity, and it's about a feeling that snatches up listeners and takes over. It's about a contagious kind of power and electricity that few AC/DC tribute bands can provide.
From Kyle LaPato's strong on-stage performance replicating the Angus Young of the 70's and 80's, to Bobby Lee Stamper's versatile vocals mimicking both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson ranges, to the incredible rhythm section made up of Kevin Feller on rhythm guitar, Corey Baetz on drums, and Chris Jones on bass, Thunderstruck gives a complete and consistently quality live show as true to the spirit of AC/DC that you can possibly get.
JUMP | 6:30 - 8 PM
After performing sold out shows across multiple different states and being recruited for international tours in Canada and Australia, JUMP has positioned themselves as one of the top up and coming Van Halen tributes on the planet.
Delivering classic David Lee Roth era Van Halen, the Toledo, Ohio based band lineup is composed of a group of youngsters all born in the mid-late 90’s and early 2000’s. While their age offers a visual aesthetic true to Van Halen in their prime, their sound also reflects the same shredding Eddie guitar solos, rock solid rhythm section, and the whaling two-tone screams reminiscent of David Lee Roth’s voice. Featuring a variety of hits and deep cuts off of the first 6 albums, JUMP’s live show includes a selection of skits and one liners portrayed by Van Halen from bootlegs of their live shows between 1978-1984.

Big City Band | 5 - 6 PM
The Big City Band is a 6-piece rockin’ country band formed in 2017. Their unique sound features gritty lead vocals fused with the smooth sound of family harmonies. Growing up the band was inspired by the traditional country music sounds of Merle Haggard and southern rock sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Their hometown of Grottoes, Virginia is a small town nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains thus the name, “The Big City Band”. This group has built quite a following of loyal fans known as the ‘BCB Strangers’ and has become a premiere party band in the state of Virginia. A Big City Band show features an up tempo mix from all genres of music along with original tunes that will make you dance the night away.
