When I was 15, my mom decided she wanted to take me snowboarding for the first time. It took me 45 minutes and a gallon of sweat to get down the bunny slope. Despite my lack of skill, I fell in love with the sport. I continued going ever other weekend throughout high school. When I got to JMU, I had big plans: to join Boarderline, the official ski and snowboard club at JMU. Snowboarding has given me so much and now I want to give back to the sport! That is why I’m super stoked to be a summit smasher so I can bring more people into the raddest sport and continue finding more snowboarding communities.
